Overview

Design & Experience

The project is conceived as a sensory perfumery offering an immersive experience. At its core lies a geometric interior designed to engage all the senses. Visually, bold contrasting colors create striking focal points; the sense of smell is activated through carefully curated fragrances; and touch is explored through a variety of textures and material finishes. Together, these elements form a multi-sensory environment that envelops visitors in a rich, engaging, and memorable experience.

The design combines bold colors and geometric forms with careful attention to ergonomics, ensuring both visual impact and comfort. In addition to the functional layout, an immersive space was created to provide a unique and memorable multi-sensory experience, engaging visitors in a way that is both striking and singular.

Stage 1

Immersive Experience

Scent & Technology

Research was conducted on immersive experiences with scents as well as on the use of smart rings to explore new ways of interaction. This informed the design of a unique immersive environment that combines olfactory stimulation with subtle, responsive technology, creating a multi-sensory experience that engages visitors in an innovative and memorable way.

Concept & Atmosphere

Surrealist Inspiration

The design draws inspiration from surrealist cinema, embracing its bold visual language and sense of otherworldliness. Core principles such as geometric interior layouts and daring, contrasting colors guided the spatial composition, creating a setting that feels both striking and dreamlike while reinforcing the multi-sensory, immersive experience of the perfumery. Exaggerated and oversized elements were intentionally incorporated to heighten the user's sensory perception and evoke stronger emotional responses, amplifying the immersive and surreal qualities of the space.

Color & Materials

Bold & Tactile

The palette centers on three dominant, contrasting colors chosen to create a bold and dynamic atmosphere. A deep, sensual burgundy evokes richness and intimacy, a strong, vibrant yellow introduces energy and vibrancy, and a striking orange adds warmth and playfulness. Complementing the colors, materials were carefully selected to enhance texture and tactile experience, including patterned metallic wallpapers, luxurious velvet fabrics, and brushed steel surfaces. This combination creates a tactile and visual contrast between the warmth of the velvet and the coolness of the steel, reinforcing the immersive and multi-sensory character of the space.

Layout Design

Circular Forms

The perfumery's layout was designed using a series of repeating circular forms, establishing a rhythmic and harmonious spatial organization. These forms were further emphasized by applying color to define distinct zones, guiding circulation and highlighting functional areas within the immersive environment. After establishing the overall outline, the space was further subdivided into specific zones, with preliminary dimensions added to define the scale and proportions of each area.

Stage 5

Display Design

Ribbon Shelf

The display design features a shelf inspired by the form of a ribbon, crafted entirely from foam. Its fluid, curving shape creates a sense of movement and elegance, making it a striking sculptural element. Positioned as the central piece of the space, the shelf draws immediate attention, seamlessly blending functionality with artistic expression. The soft, tactile quality of the foam adds an inviting, approachable dimension, transforming a simple storage object into a captivating focal point.
